What are the restrictions to my travel eSIM?

Restrictions on your travel eSIM can vary depending on how the plan was set up. With the Gigs travel eSIM for Wealthsimple, you will find that the following restrictions are in place:

  • The currently covered countries can be found here

  • The data allotment of your travel eSIM is typically 10gb

    • You can check your remaining usage in your Wealthsimple app, per the instructions here

  • You will be able to use your travel eSIM for data only

    • If you need to make calls or send messages, you can always use a messaging application like WhatsApp, which uses data.
