When you need a SIM replacement

This article will go over how when you may need to replace your travel eSIM. Replacing your travel eSIM can be very helpful (or even needed) in the following scenarios:

  • You accidentally installed your eSIM on another device, and your new device doesn't have the option of transferring an eSIM

  • You deleted your eSIM and are unable to reinstall it with the QR code

  • Your QR code isn't working, but should be

  • Your eSIM isn't installing, even after you performing all of the troubleshooting steps

  • Your eSIM is installed, but just doesn't seem to be working correctly

Before you replace your travel eSIM, please be sure that you've followed the troubleshooting steps outlined here. If you haven't performed those troubleshooting steps, then it's very possible that there's another issue, and replacing your eSIM won't help.

To replace your eSIM:

Reach out to support in one of the following ways:

  • The chatbot widget in the lower-right corner of the screen

  • The "Email Support" button at the top of the page


Once you have received your eSIM replacement, the following will happen:

  1. You will be receive a new QR code from the support agent

  2. You will then need to install your new eSIM via the QR code -- you can find instructions on this here
